Dear ASCE UPSTATE Branch Members,
We look forward to changes with a new name! We are changing from the Northwest Branch to the Upstate Branch. In this year, we look forward to reworking the ASCE UPSTATE branch to better serve the membership. This website is the first step. This new website will allow us to keep you more informed and allow you to communicate with us better. Any comments or suggestions are encouraged and very much appreciated.
Our Director, Ms. Alice Geiger, PE is heading up our education outreach and community involvement programs. Alice began this program last year, and as interest continues to rise we expect the program to flourish in this year. If you are interested in participating or have ideas on how to improve the program you can contact Alice at Alice.Geiger@asceupstate.com.
Our new Younger Member Group Chair, Mr. Thomas Hill, EIT a recent graduate of The Citadel is heading up an intiative to found the UPSTATE ASCE Younger Member Group. With the new growth in the UPSTATE area we hope to see this program grow and support the development of our young engineers. Tom plans to host social and technical events.
